Western Fairfax Christian Ministries (WFCM), the anchor community-based organization in Region 4 of Fairfax County, provides food and financial support to families at risk of hunger and homelessness in 9 zip codes in western Fairfax County (Centreville, Chantilly, Clifton, Fairfax, Fairfax Station, Herndon, and Oak Hill).
WFCM programs include two Free Food Market locations where qualified clients may select groceries for their families once every 30 days; 15 satellite refrigerators (Free Food Fridge Program) in Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) and partner non-profits that are stocked weekly; and online grocery ordering with home delivery available to those who may not be able to select food in person. WFCM also offers financial assistance with rent / utility payments to keep families safely housed. Through a partnership with the Greater DC Diaper Bank, WFCM receives and distributes 35,000+ diapers monthly for qualified babies in need in our community (not limited to WFCM clients). In addition to these programs, WFCM works with partners in the community to connect families to other services including government assistance, clothing, and financial coaching.
