John is a retired US Air Force Lt. Colonel and currently serves as the President of the Dulles Regional Chamber of Commerce. He served in the Air Force for 20 years, flying as a Navigator on KC-135 air refueling aircraft. He led the command’s Combat Flight Instructor Course for Navigators where he provided classroom lectures and inflight training.
He also worked at legacy agencies to the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency where he was the Chief of Staff for the Deputy Director, Systems & Technology. At the Pentagon he served the Secretary of the Air Force’s International Affairs where he led the technology transfer and export controls policy for Space, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance systems. John was also a National Defense Fellow at Tuft’s Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy.
After government service he worked in the defense and technology industries helping Lockheed Martin Corp with Business Development and Riverside Research with Government Relations. He worked for almost ten years at lobbying firm Cassidy & Associates, where he was an Executive Vice President specializing in national security and federal marketing.
A recognized expert, he’s been quoted by the National Journal and the Washington Post. He serves on several local community Board of Directors. His experience and strategic thinking have been a guide to helping clients around the world and to our Dulles community.
