DRCC Martin Gruszka

Martin Gruszka is a Northern Virginia professional. Martin was born in Poland and moved to the United States with his family as a child. A dad, business owner, and technology professional, Martin has called Northern Virginia his home since early 1990. He considers himself a Virginian and an American first. Martin has lived in Burke, Fairfax, Reston, and Ashburn. Today he resides in Herndon. He graduated from Lake Braddock Secondary School in Burke, Virginia, attended George Mason University, and Graduated from Regis University with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration.

Martin's professional background is in technology. He has over 20 years of experience in Software Development, Technology, and Development Management and is a certified Project Management Professional. As a technology professional Martin often engaged with tech mentors, business owners, CTO's and Entrepreneurs. His technology consulting experience led him to develop a philosophy and strong belief in peoplecentric use of technology. He believes technology cannot exist for its own sake; it must accomplish non-technical objectives, improve lives and productivity, and impact the bottom line.

Today, Martin deploys the same philosophy as the owner of Office Evolution, a coworking center based out of Herndon, Virginia. Martin launched Office Evolution Herndon in March of 2019. His people-first mindset carries through to Office Evolution Herndon with a philosophy that a 21st-century modern professional workplace cannot exist simply as a space for laptops and employees. It must provide professionals, solopreneurs, and businesses with opportunities, growth, education, and connections. As the owner of Office Evolution Herndon, he works to connect Office Evolution Herndon members with the community and each other through a concept he calls the Entrepreneurial Ecosystem. His efforts resulted in receiving the Lift Off Award in recognition for 2022 – Small Business of the Year from Dulles Regional Chamber of Commerce.

In 2017, Martin was elected as president of a local fraternal organization and, in 2023, as member of the Board of Directors for the Dulles Regional Chamber of Commerce. Serving in this role fulfills his passion for community building and creating connections and a belief that business ownership carries a responsibility to the people, place, and community within which it operates. Martin continues to be a member of several local civic and fraternal organizations and frequently participates in charitable events and drives. Martin will graduate from the Leadership Fairfax Institute in the summer of 2024.

In his personal life, Martin is busy co-parenting his daughter. When he has time, he enjoys listening to music, particularly Jazz, Session, and Jam bands. His hobbies include fishing, cooking, gardening, and hiking local trails.
