Today's #leadership quote
“We can complain because rose bushes have thorns, or rejoice because thorns have roses.” Alphonse Karr
As we conclude the official Thanksgiving season and move on toward Christmas preparation it is a good idea to pause and reflect on all that we already have. We have each been given unique gifts that can make a difference in both our lives and the lives of those around us. At the same time we all have thorns or challenges in our lives. We can choose to focus on the thorns and bemoan the fact that we have those hurdles or conversely we can focus on what we are capable of and choose to make a difference. Gratitude is the key to this more positive approach and will position us with the mindset to make a bigger impact .By beginning each day being thankful for what you already have and ending each day thankful for what you were able to accomplish you can lock in that positive mindset. That mindset doesn't eliminate the thorns but rather gives you the courage to navigate your way around them and the fortitude to withstand their impact By expressing our gratitude to others we both inspire them to aid us in the future and develop a positive proactive approach to our own lives. It is easy to find the thorns but we can choose a more positive approach
To help you find the positive path and practice the habit of gratefulness consider developing a realationship with a coach. It will change your mindset and your life. We all need guides to help us to navigate our way through the thorns. Give me a call at 703 445-3133 if you want to develop a more proactive approach. You will be glad that you did.
