The goal of the committee is to take steps to achieve tangible progress in inclusion and equity of minorities in business. The activities for the first year of the committee include listening from speakers in this space and understanding the breadth and depth of issues related to inclusion and equity to come up with actionable steps.

Mission:

We envision that the mission and beliefs of the

Equity and Inclusion Committee resonate

all aspects of the DRCC culture

such that the committee, itself, need not exist.

In other words, we must end racism – lest the work be never ending.

• To inspire, facilitate and empower members with the opportunity and tools to implement their corporate social and environmental responsibilities to contribute to the well-being of the communities and society they affect and on which they depend.
• Successful corporate social opportunity initiatives foster a well-connected community, and are reached through: critical thinking, creativity, effective communication, and collaboration.
• A community-connected and educated citizenry sustains our system of self-governance and grows our economy.
