Continuing with the theme of giving during this holiday season I found this quote. It is really amazing how much happiness you can derive from the simple act of giving. The beauty is that giving does not even need to be a material thing. A simple smile and a greeting to a passerby almost always elicits a smile in return and both individuals leave the encounter feeling better. It is almost impossible not to feel better when smiling. A thank you demonstrating gratitude for something you received makes both you and the recipient feel better. Recognizing someone for something done well encourages them to continue pushing forward while lifting your spirits as well. You can give your time and talents to a volunteer project , inevitably lifting your spirits while helping others who are less fortunate. During this season of giving, it is the little things that make the biggest difference. Giving away those little things will make all involved happier. Lets end this year on a note of positivity by giving freely of the non material things that will lift the spirits of giver and receiver alike.
