Today's #leadership quote
"If you could kick the person in the pants responsible for most of your trouble, you wouldn't sit for a month."
Theodore Roosevelt
Taking ownership and accountability for what happens in your life is the first step toward growth and ultimately achieving what you are capable of. If you make excuses or blame the environment or other people you are destined ot underachieve. Growth occurs when you face up to challenges and assume responsibility for overcoming them rather than lamenting what happened and using that as an excuse to quit. The Covid pandemic has definitely changed the landscape and wreaked havoc with many industries and individuals. Yet some courageous individuals have looked beyond the current circumstance to identify opportunities to grow and continue to achieve. While some have wallowed in self pity others have taken ownership for their destiny and pushed forward taking massive action despite the uncertainty. They assumed accountability for their own situation and pivoted found new paths and are emerging stronger than they were when the pandemic began. We own our reaction to events and when we assume accountability we find the courage to overcome obstacles and continue on the journey toward greatness. We get to choose our response. Choose accountability and as a result prosper and grow.
