Do you like drawing, building models or sewing? Did you know these skills and others that you may use now are also extremely useful in many air and space jobs? During this Soar Together program, explore the variety of jobs that use craft skills, art and design, and give it a try yourself.

Activities include:

  • Story Time from 11:00 - 11:30 am
  • Live Chat with retired NASA spacesuit technician Sharon McDougle and space history curator Emily Margolis from 1:00 - 1:30 pm
  • "Design your own moon boot" activity with Girl in Space founder and NASA Aerospace Engineer Sabrina Thompson
  • "Blankets for Spacecraft" activity with Aerothreads, a company that designs, makes and installs multi-layer insulated blankets on spacecraft
  • Craft activity for our youngest visitors
  • A collaborative art activity
  • Interactive scavenger hunt
  • Conversations and Q&As with experts in the field
