Sewing Lab is a creative sewing school and sustainability hub based in Herndon, Virginia. Our mission is to inspire and empower individuals of all ages through the art of sewing while fostering a deep commitment to community and environmental responsibility. We offer a wide range of classes—from beginner to advanced—for children, teens, and adults. Our programs include machine and hand sewing, seasonal camps, and project-based workshops. What makes Sewing Lab unique is our strong emphasis on sustainability. We regularly host clothing swaps, upcycling sessions, and textile donation drives, engaging the local community in thoughtful conversations and practical actions toward reducing fashion waste. Through collaborations with schools, nonprofits, and businesses, we champion a circular economy model that promotes reuse, repair, and creative making.
