Today's #leadership quote
"It's kind of fun to do the impossible." Walt Disney
How many things do we look at as commonplace today that were at one point thought impossible. In sports we see often get to view amazing accomplishments that people didn;t think were possible. Roger Bannister broke the 4 minute mile barrier. Usain Bolt smashed the world record for the 100 meters and Bob Beamon long jumped over 29 feet when no one had ever gone over 28 feet previously. Mark Spitz won 7 gold medals and set 7 world records in doing so in what was believed to be an impossible feat and then it was bettered by Michael Phelps. Henry Ford developed the automobile, the Wright Brothers developed the first airplane and Neil Armstrong walked on the moon. All of these feats were once thought impossible yet we continue to improve on them today. The key ingredients to overcoming the impossible are curiosity, courage, resilience, and perseverance. It all starts with a dream but that dream must be followed by action. By simply putting one foot in front of the other and taking the first step we too can make our dreams come true. We simply need the courage to overcome our fears, the willingness to take action, the resilience to recover from failure and the will to persist despite the doubters
