Today's #leadership quote
"We must make the best of those ills which cannot be avoided."
Alexander Hamilton
This quote fits well with yesterday's quote. We cannot control what happens to us but we get to choose how we respond to it. This year of 2020 has imposed a great number of changes on all of us. We are forced to wear masks, quarantine, and scramble for toilet paper. It would be both easy and natural to despair and become isolated or depressed. And many have bemoaned the year because of those changes. At the same time others have been able to prosper. Instead of looking at the glass as half full they have chosen the alternative. Restaurants have stayed afloat by initiating a take out or home delivery option. Many families have been able to spend more time together and although working from home has its challenges in some cases we have become more efficient. I don't intend to diminish the challenges such as the loss of employment or worse yet the loss of lives . Certainly there is empathy for those who have been harmed. Still those who have been proactive and viewed the challenges as opportunities have been able to adapt and continue to achieve while others have become mired in what has been lost. We get to choose our response. Choose wisely.
