What does commitment to excellence look and feel like. Certainly there is hard work involved. Anyone seeking excellence must be willing to put in the effort to continuously improve themselves. Additionally learning is a prerequisite for excellence. To be great we must always be curious and open to learning how to become better at our craft. Persistence is also required to achieve excellence as we have to continue improving and learning despite the failures and obstacles that block our path. Rarely is someone born excellent. They choose to become so. They put in the time when others are sleeping. They have the courage to look fear in the eye and overcome it. And they have the resilience to get back up when they are inevitably knocked down. Excellence is the product of having a clearly defined purpose and manifesting the values to travel unerringly toward that objective. If you are clear about your purpose and willing to sacrifice to make it reality greatness awaits.
